I know that this last entry has fallen behind the deadline, but as this is simply a parting farewell to this class and the semester, I see no harm in it being a few days past the finish line. I want to thank Dr. Sexson for opening my eyes to the full scope of these masterpieces. Before joining the class, I had read. Thank you all, once again, for an amazing semester.

All professions receive their fair share of stereotyping and caricature embellishments. Your 14-year-old daughter is cutting herself. Your 18-year-old receives a DUI in which his best friend and passenger was seriously injured. Your adult sister, with bipolar disorder, is wrecking financial and emotional havoc on your elderly parents. You might find my young co-horts working in VA Centers, Fire Depart.

I was born in Austria and now live in Edinburgh. I hold a BA in English and American studies from the University of Graz, an MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, and I am pursuing a PhD researching gender equality in contemporary Scottish writing and publishing at the University of Stirling in partnership with University of Glasgow and Scottish Book Trust.
